OCT 17 / WEBSITE AND MOBILE

ROLE

An individual project with UX and UI conceptualized and designed.

OUTLINE

Wstudio is a design agency. This creative studio involves in design, develop, promote and maintain a robust website development process to provide customer needs in website/mobile development. Their key aspects are to evaluate the business from other competitors in the market, design for users, test product on real users in test and prod environment to deliver a promising product and market your product to end users.

PROBLEM SPACE

How could we better design Web/mobile Landing Page for a design agency?

To design a landing page to provide attractive with most intuitive information and ease of reachability experience to their users. Also, User experience is more important than ever in today's digital age. Than desktop more searches are now performed on mobile devices. The need for a mobile-friendly site is imperative to business success.

DESIGN BRIEFS

I followed design briefs from the client as it gives me clear background information about the organization, what they do and their target audience. On a visual style, I prefer to receive themes from the client and inspirational websites with reasons. In content details, we should observe powerful contents and negativities which to be avoided while designing.

CLIENT INITIAL SKETCHES AND IDEAS

It allows them to sketch their own ideas with paper and pencil to draw on, what they need? and where to locate header/footer/sections? Because it helps you do's and don'ts of your contents in wireframe and web design.

EVALUATION

I evaluated the above methods from 4 participants age from 15 to 45 years. To begin the study, participants were given a series of questionnaires to be answered for making a successful landing page using papers and pencil.

In addition to that, Adapting to client design direction using mood boards is crucial:

The plan is to get into the clients head, to get a copy of their thoughts. Gathered client ideas with using plenty of open resource design ready-mades:

  • Showcasing mood boards (www.niice.co)

RESULTS

As a result of the initial research on the behaviors, I found out that the system should:

  • Display their design strategies, achievements, awards and their teammates with flexibility in the work environment.

  • An impressive landing page with the company code of colors and their proud logo with a stylish theme.

  • Present content information to their clients in a way that is most intuitive.

Some things to note about the design representations

  • In section-1, WStudio website wanted to grab attention with powerful content written, plus a visual treat.

  • In section-2, During research on client behaviors, I noticed that viewers need to understand their design strategies more in-depth in ordered to place a quote, so was the priority on "Get a quote" button.

  • In section-3, To show up the companies achievements, awards with customer satisfaction with professional comments (also coffee spent), the reason is to get users to focus on the employees, to whom they are going to collaborate.

  • In section-4, Client finally works with humans and expect a smooth project completion as to show up on the landing page, display Wstudio's culture of success and Employee happiness with their identities.

  • In section-5, At last a way finding to reach Wstudio agency.

TAKEAWAYS AND NEXT STEPS

  • I have used my initial findings to create the Wstudio - Landing Page concept for web/mobile and my next steps will be to evaluate its 7 key factors of UX.

  • I learned that designing for web/mobile applications doesn’t have to constrain with your own creative ideas but to explore and discover users perspective as well. With just a few adjustments to interface elements, web/mobile application interfaces can be optimized for the users, preventing frustration on their part and improving adoption.

  • More work needs to be done to expand on the other website tabs, interactions, automated email app, especially, about how to handle requests for responsive web design.
